can a short year return be efiled?

A partner has left a partnership changing it from a 1065 to a single member LLC. Can the short year ending in 2025 be efiled? (a 2024 return was filed)

Not using the 2024 software. Only one e-file per return can be accepted. You can use the 2025, once it is released and IRS has reopened filing after annual shutdown. That might mean you need to file an extension by paper.
