bug in the system for self preparer of for1040X

Hi,

 

Does anyone know how to fix it?

I have an amended tax return and wanted to file as self prepared.

So from client info, select Self-Prepared on  line  "Prepared by". But the Firm's paid preparer still show on form 1040 X line Print/type preparer's name line.

I think the system bug.

In client information, remove the preparer - Leave it as "- Select -"

    "wanted to file as self prepared"

    That "wanted" phrase makes it sound like it isn't your return which would mean the return really wouldn't be self prepared.
