Question

After 3 Proconnect Experts hang up on me, I have no choice but ask the community. How to enter a MAGI on Form 3849 (CA)?

I updated the MAGI on F.8962, but it does not flow to CA F. 3849.  I am trying to enter the MAGI on the input, but it does not flow to the F. 3849 either.

You don't *enter* MAGI, it flows from all the other entries made for income, etc.

You DO enter the information from the Form 1095-A/Form 3895 (Screen 39.1 in Lacerte, PTO will have a similar spot).

    I am trying to enter the MAGI for the dependent who filed his own return, so it is not calculated within the program (line 2b on F.3849 (CA).

    Yes, there is a field on the input where I can enter it, but it does not flow to the Form.

    All I can report is that it *is* working in Lacerte.
