Adding supporting statements to return

Is there a place to enter supporting statements when eFiling a 1040? I want to add a statement about K-1 income. This will require about 3 or 4 lines of text.

Hi @thaas107

We're delighted to see you in the community. Thanks for posting your first questions. In ProConnect Tax you will need to create a PDF outside the program and then attach it to the return. Here's the support article on how to attach a PDF to a return.

If you have any issue we'd recommend reaching out to ProConnect Tax support as they would be able to assist you with this.

The IRS doesn't tend to read stuff that isn't required, so is your information really necessary?  If you feel that it is necessary, why not just write what you want and attach a pdf of the info to the return?
