2025 MS8453-IIT has a software bug - ProConnect
In ProConnect, the 2025 MS8453-IIT has a software bug. Part I, Line 2 - Total Mississippi tax, should pull over totals from Form 80-105, line 23; or 80-205, line 25, as applicable. Instead, it is pulling the total over from Form 80-105, line 17 - Income Tax due. While that might be the same number for some filers, it excludes several reductions including the credit for tax paid to another state.
Thankfully, the calculation for the Refund due is not impacted, as it pulls that from the 80-105 or 80-205 forms. I'm not sure what the impact is when e-filed, because I haven't submitted yet.
