1098 mortgage form import

Who would like to be able to import more than one 1098 for mortgage interest form without overwriting the first one? Who would like the name of the bank to show up in addition to it saying personal residence?

My clients often have more than one due to their mortgage being sold and sometimes forget to send one. Having the name show up and having the ability to import more than one would be such a time saver.

And as a bonus it would show better in your doument request list next year. Trifecta of efficiency

This is one of the reasons I am not a fan of import. How long does it take to do the 1098 entry?

If there are no mortgage limitations, simply hit the + in the entry point and list the mortgage companies with amounts. Those will show up next year.

If there are limitations, list them in the entries for Excess Mortgage Interest. If this is the case I sincerely doubt they would import correctly.

You are right. For 1098's there is really no reason to import...it seems like magic though, when you can import (correctly) 🎩😊
