I have Lacerte tax program. What is the best way for a U S resident to file on a Canada wage?

There is input to say it is a foreign employer, so you won't need an EIN.

EDIT: Some software has this. What software are you using?

    For Lacerte, check the box that it is compensation from foreign employer not reported on a W-2, then select from the country in which services were rendered.
