Switching from Proseries to Proconnect

Hi,

I am looking to potentially make this switch. The price is almost a triple jump which there's no way I can pass it all to clients, but maybe there's other efficiency benefits that may outweigh this cost. Looking to hear from others that made the switch or other proconnect users in general. Manual entry of the brokerage 1099s is very time consuming for example. It seems with proconnect this would be imported? Is this accurate or does it require a lot of review on your end. Other pros/cons

Nothing to add except your post inspired me to move down the software ladder: From LC to ProConnect. I'll look into it.

Both ProSeries and ProConnect can import 1099-Bs (although I don't do it because it is quicker to manually do it).

If all transactions are "covered" (and no wash sales), ProSeries only requires two entries for short-term and two entries for long-term.

If things are not fully covered, just enter a summary and attach a PDF of the 1099-B.

At least for 1099-B's, I don't see how ProConnect could be any faster than ProSeries.

On another note, if you want to change software, why are you looking at ProConnect rather than some other software?

Proconnect has the tax planning feature and I would prefer to stay within Intuit since I'm used to it.

Could you guide me how do you import the 1099s in Proseries? I already enter just the totals, but many of clients have a lot of brokerages, so several PDFs each. Thank you.
