Sorry I always seem to find the answers either via the community or online etc. So I am not sure of how to find the answer to my question regarding the CA VBTA act of 2018 and how to report it on the CA 540.

The peer users that volunteer to be helpful are also a bit busy this time of year. When someone knows the answer, they will provide it. Otherwise, you would use Web resources to help yourself. There are military-specific IRS resources, too.
