employee business mileage deduction

Can a surgeon who is required by her employer to make bi-weekly trips to an offsite clinic allowed to deduct the extra business mileage incurred?

She would turn in a Mileage report under the terms of An Accountable Plan and be reimbursed per the IRS Mileage Rates.

      Only business owners can deduct business miles. W2 employees can no longer deduct expenses
