US Scholarship paid to Canadian resident going to university in the US
I have a client who is a Canadian resident. He attended a US university and received an approximately $40k Scholarship from the university. Does he have to claim it on his Canadian tax return? Is it tax exempt if he is a full time student? Where do I enter it in Profile (same as Canadian University Scholarship)?
