I had same problem. Made sure I wasn't also running QuickBooks, Then turned off virus protection and firewall and clicked on Retry a number of times. After the third or fourth attempt, it worked. Good luck!
I have a TY2022 workaround that may help some folks. I have Profile on 3 servers, no problem with update on the first 2, 3rd one was stubborn--hanging during the process.
Here's the fix that worked--much easier than Intuit's Troubleshooting. I chose NOT do backup and intsall, backed up myself and chose the "only install". Worked in about 3 minutes. Fixed.
