T1 tax file reopens in "read only " mode

For about a year now the program randomly reopens a T1 file in "read only" mode.  I typically forget to close the file and reopen so that it opens in a normal fashion.  Its annoying as everything I entered has to be re-done!  Is there a fix for this?  Anyone else encountering this annoying problem?

If you make changes to a file you need to save the file before closing,. If you do not save, Profile will reopen the autobackup next time, is this the issue?
