settings and options

my laptop crashed. can anybody suggest how i can recover my profile settings? i did save a settings file, but don't know how to apply it to a new profile installation.

Hi, thank you for using Intuit ProFile Community

If you are using an options package you can just load the options package on the new computer. Otherwise, the settings are saved in settings and settings backup folders of the myprofiledata folder in the default installation. You can replace the default settings folders with the same folders from your old computer. ProFile will then load the settings in those replaced folders.
