Quebec income tax withheld at source line 451 on TP1 for non-Quebec resident at end of year
Client had Quebec income tax withheld at source line 451 of TP1. Revenu Quebec has denied this on their assessment as the client did not reside in Quebec as at December 31, 2019. The Quebec income tax withheld at source was not deducted on the T1 return. How does the client get a refund of the amount paid of Quebec income tax withheld at source? The individual at Revenu Quebec said they must apply to have it refunded through federal government however cannot tell me how to do this.
