Perenial Problem: "Access Violation at address xxxxxx in module “profile.exe" PLEASE FIX IT FINALLY!!!

Today I was working on several of my clients’ T1 adjustments, some going back to 2012. I though it would be a relatively easy process, but I was so wrong! Once I was trying to open returns (coupled-i.e., married or common-law) for years before 2020, it was a nightmare: I kept receiving those extremely annoying messages, “Access Violation at address xxxxxx in module “profile.exe”….” I was unable to open (using the “F5” key) the spouse’s return, I was unable to save some of those returns, I was unable to even sometimes close some of the returns and had to close Profile. After spending about 9 hours in the office, I probably saw a few hundreds of the “Access Violation” pop-up messages. Shame on you, Profile!!! This perennial problem has been reported for many, many years and apparently there is no solution. I remember that on two occasions a Profile technician helped me to “fix” this problem, but within a few days I was getting the same messages.

Honestly, when I charge my clients for my work, I should send invoices for at least 1/3 of the charges to Profile.

I am having this issue since last 4-5 years each year it is getting worse and worse with different kinds of access violations. I have done everything what profile tech team asked me to do but no help. I have spent so much money changing my computers thinking that might resolve the issue but not. It has come to a point where I m so frustrated that I might have to explore other options. We are  busy and use profile 8 hour in off season and 14-15 hrs tax season. We are a team of 6 tax prepares in tax season, if I add up the time we waste between all of us closing, restarting and sometime re entering it is at least 20-40 mins a day. What a shame that they could not fix this problem. I wish I knew some other software profile would have long from my business.
