Question

I use Gmail and I'm unable to email a PDF of the T183 to my client. What do I need to do?

I added my Gmail account in my Window settings and that didn't work. I added my email to my Profile Preparer information that didn't work. I then tried under the Control Panel and my Gmail blocked this from happening. I do not use Outlook but when I try now a pop up wants me to log in to Microsoft Office 2010 which I have not done. This shouldn't be that difficult. Thanks for your help.

I send and receive PDF file attachments in my Gmail account all the time.

I don't send directly from my web browser. Instead, I use an free e-mail "Client" program called eM Client, which you can download here: https://www.emclient.com/page.aspx?contentid=homepage

I should have also mentioned that when you use the "Build a PDF", ProFile will create a password-protected file that may prevent you from opening it for Gmail. If you go to the Options, Environment, PDF tab, you can remove all the password protections you may have, and it may fix the issue. You can also print the T183 form and scan it back into your computer in a different directory and upload it to Gmail that way. If this doesn't fix the issue, you can e-mail me at: ken@chequeitbookkeeping.ca and I'll try to help you troubleshoot the problem.

Hi, thank you for using Intuit ProFile Community

ProFile will only directly attach a PDF to an e-mail with Outlook desktop. For online software you must generate a PDF they manually attach the PDF to an e-mail.

Information can be found here

Hope this helps
