Will tomorrow's update include changes for the PTC changes as well?

We see there is an update scheduled for Thursday, March 18 to address the unemployment benefits changes, but we are wondering if it will also include changes for the Premium Tax Credit changes.

      Hi Brandee,

      Tomorrow's update will introduce a diagnostic for taxpayers who won't have to repay the excess advanced PTC under the new law.

      The diagnostic is just to alert you not to file these returns until new instructions for Form 8962 are issued, though. For the unemployment change, the IRS was quick to update the instructions for 1040 Schedule 1. So we're hopeful that the 8962 will be available quickly and we can update the program soon.
