why is there a number printed on the bottom of each page of the 1040

Such as FDIA0112L 10/07/19? I believe that is a software identifier for the form overlay. This is what I see at the bottom of page 1 of 1040, but page 2 has FDUA01112L 02/21/20

We are not printing on official IRS produced forms, but rather some software company layout of the official IRS form. 


Ah... those don't show on the screen, only when printed to paper.

same number on everyone's? or different numbers?

same numbers with dates on each one but different numbers and letters on each page.
