WHY IS MY ITEMIZED DEDUCTION THAT IS MORE THAN MY STANDARD DEDUCTION GETTING ONLY THE STANDARD DEDUCTION?

IF ITEMIZED DEDUCTION IS MORE THAN STANDARD DEDUCTION FOR SCHEDULE A, WHY DOE LACERTE LIMIT IT TO ONLY THE STANDARD DEDUCTION?

Check to make sure you have not checked the box under "Cash Contributions" to "Deduct cash charitable contributions if taking standard deduction"...new $300 on the 1040. That forces the Standard deduction .
