Client is US citizen living in Canada and pays self employment to Canada. Under US-Canada treaty, I if obtain certification statement from Canada, no self -employment tax in US. How do I suppress the US self -employment tax on Lacerte

On Screen 16, under the section for "Other Information", check the box for "Not subject to self-employment tax". A copy of the certificate of coverage must also be attached to the US tax return being filed to substantiate the exemption.

What about exempting a dual citizen's farm income from self employment tax? There is no check box similar to that on Screen 16.
