What "Resident State" do I enter for a foreign beneficiary in the beneficiary input screen 6?

When you have a foreign beneficiary, if you do not enter a state in the beneficiary input screen 6, you get a critical e-filing diagnostic.  This question was asked in 2021 and the answer was to enter "US".  However, entering "US" does not work in the 2023 Lacerte fiduciary module.

    There's a box on the K-1 for checking "foreign beneficiary."  Have you figured out how to get that box checked?  (I'm not a Lacerter.)  If it's checked and the program still wants a state, then I wouldn't lose any sleep over it because all the K-1 requires is an address. Use a state with no income tax, like South Dakota.
