WA State Capital Gains Tax Return

Does Lacerte have a plan for supporting the WA State Capital Gains tax return for 2026 tax return? Thomson Reuters (GoSystem) and CCH (ProSystem) supports this tax return. I have been a Lacerte customer for 30+ years - I may need to change tax return services if Lacerte will not support this state tax return. Any idea how to get an answer from product development? I just want to know if I need to switch software or not.

    Nobody here has an answer.  If you call support, they will also plead stupidity on the issue.  So if you need an answer this week, you won’t get one.  If this is a make or break deal with you, you might want to start reviewing other software now because you won’t know if the form is going to arrive until this fall.

      Hi ​@NDuff  Unfortunately, at this time we do not anticipate the WA Capital Gains Tax return being added for Lacerte 2026.  We will continue to monitor the demand for this form. 

      I have converted the other thread you replied to is now an Idea that can be upvoted. Please vote and encourage others to do the same.
