W2-G entry has been reprogrammed erroneously. Data entry on the new W2-G results in the program to cycle for 15 minutes per entry. I have 250 entries to make which would cause me to spend 63 hours to make all the entries. Unacceptable!!!!. This is a fatal bug that renders the entries for my client unusable. Programming needs to fix this immediately or I will be forced to use another publisher's tax program.
This problem occurs when entering data into the W2-G worksheet that has been brought forward by the proforma process from the previous tax year. Entry into the worksheet will cause the Lacerte program to go into a 15 minute processing loop per entry - obviously not acceptable.
Solution from tech support is to go to settings, options, setup tab and turn "Show Warnings In The Detail Tab" off.
