US Citizen living in Costa Rica for 2022
I have researched to see how to file the status of residency for a client who moved to Costa Rica in late 2021 and has lived abroad for the whole year of 2022. On the client information tab would I just leave the resident status box unchecked. They are required to file a 1040 us return and have no income earned in Costa Rica. They have provided a US address but we are requesting a copy of their Driver's License to verify current mailing address.
