TY22 Alerts and News Banners - New process to dismiss -
Apparently someone decided that we must now acknowledge every news and alert that Lacerte sends at us.
In the past it was good enough to click on the news and alert banner to open the right side pane. Closing this would then remove the 2 lines for new and alerts freeing up screen space.
This has now changed in Lacerte 2022.
Now one must click the icon top left to open up the check mark column. Then one needs to check the boxes, but the three dots in the upper right offers check all. Finally one now needs to select the Folder icon to "archive" the news and alert items.
Doing this from memory so these instructions may be slightly off.
Support did not know this. This just wasted another 20 minuted of my day.
