Tax Import Tool with Lacerte
We purchased the Tax Import option to help simplify data entry; however, of the thirty we have sent and gotten back, only three have been correct. It is taking us more time to review them and correct them than it would if we just data entered it ourselves. For example, got a Social Security Statement imported and they entered the Paid by check of $26071 instead of Box 3 Benefits paid in 2025 of $32820. Them completely missed the federal withholding.
This is just one example, and it is happening on W-2's, 1099's, Bank interest, etc. We have tried to reach out to get help, but no one can explain it to me as to why this is happening. I feel like I have paid for a product that is useless because even their support can't help.
Any suggestions would be great as to how to resolve this or should I just try and get my money refunded because it has been less than 30 days?
