Question

Tax filing and payments have been extended to May 17th. Why does the Lacerte program not allow past April 15th ?

Maybe nobody at Lacerte knows they made the change.  Or, maybe the are waiting for their changes to be approved before they release them.

    Regarding all the last minute and even months late tax changes Congress likes to do now:

    Sometimes I (briefly) feel more sorry for the programmers than I do for tax preparers.
