taxpayer was resident of MO for 8 months  then moved to Indiana. While a MO resident the state withholdings were from KS. So I have a NR KS a part yr Indiana and Part year MO.

The program is not accepting my override figures for taxes paid to another state I can not get her taxes credited to MO. for what she paid in Kansas.

Any help appreciated. Have not called Lacerte this year and really don't want to .

Was there actually any tax liability for KS?

You don't get a credit for withholding done in error.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

Does MO allow a credit for tax paid to other states on a part year return? Some states don't.
