Screen 8263 (26.2) The description for donated property is one line in the past, it was 3. On form 8283 Section A column (c) only the first line is shown, and the words do not wrap on the form like you would expect. The full description you entered does not show on the form. The IRS form allows for 3 lines to show but only the first line shows on the form. Any help whould be appreciated

Use Ctrl + L to open a message to Lacerte. Attach the file and give them an explanation that the words to not wrap. They will review and get back to you.

Even though it does not show well on the form, all the text will be in the e-file when you send it.

Thank you for the suggestion. I do want to mention that intuit is transitioning away from using Ctrl + L for support contacts, so I'd prefer to use an alternative method to report this.

More importantly, the client's concern is specifically about how the form prints — they need the full description to be visible on the printed Form 8283, Section A, column (c). While I understand the text may transmit correctly in the e-file, the IRS form is designed to accommodate up to 3 lines of text in that field, and only the first line is currently displaying. The description is not wrapping as expected.

Is there a known workaround within Lacerte to force the text to wrap across those 3 lines on the printed form? Or is this a known software bug that has been reported? The client wants the form to reflect the full description visually, not just in the transmitted data.
