Recovery Rebate Credit

Has anyone had success in getting the recovery rebate credit for a non-filer?  I filed a tax return for clients that only have social security as income to get their credit 8 weeks ago but they still have not received it.  Refund status only says that the return is still being processed.  I'm just wondering if this is typical.

If you've waited 8 weeks, I'd get a signed 8821 and call IRS for a status report to unblock any soft holds or anything that might be in place.  Your efile acceptance letter should give the client a number for them to call instead if they are savvy enough to do so.
