I got this Critical Diagnostic:

"the Utah Witholding Tax Schedule (TC-40W) #1: requires state code and a valid Utah withholding identification number of 11 digits followed by uppercase "WTH" suffixed for electronic filing. Please correct Utah withholding identification number entry on the W-2 that includes UT witholding. (ref. #17272)"

 

Is there a way to e-file if the Utah witholding ID was "Applied For"?

      To test that applied for is allowed, start the efile process and see if the return passes validation.

      One idea is to enter the FEIN where it asks for the Utah number.
