Printing OLD tax returns (Lacerte 2014 to 2016) - what are the steps?

In a nutshell, I need to be able to print old copies of tax returns in our computer network. I’m talking 2014, 2015 & 2016. We have the client data files and probably the old Lacerte files for many many past years. We only have the last few years of Lacerte software actively installed. But in this very rare occasion, I need access to the old stuff.

What is the simplest and smartest way to accomplish this? I just need to be able to print out various tax returns from these prior years and make them into PDF - not doing any other work on these old versions of Lacerte (again from 2014, 2015 & 2016). HELP!!! :)

Install old years of Lacerte. Point them towards the directory where the data files are. Print as normal.

You can download back years of software and prep files from MyAccount.

Thank you so much!! I was able to find in our network the installation EXE file for the various years. As I was installing it, I did get several “error” or warning messages on Windows (ie. Unable to initialize tax import..this feature will be unavaliable” HOWEVER basically each time there were such warnings, I clicked “OK” and it still just went on and installed as usual. Luckily, when it installed, it was already showing the Individual tax clients, but I had to change the directory settings for the other kind of entities (ie. fiduciary, estate, etc). I could not believe it worked but it did!! Thank you!! :)
