Ohio Estimated tax calculation

Code 1 for ohio 2024 estimates should calculate tax based on 2024 income as adjusted in the screen and using 2023 rates.  Code 2 calculates the 2024 estimate using 2023 tax.  It appears Lacerte is calculating 2024 estimates using 2023 tax (Code 2) even when I use a code 1.  Is this an error in the software or am I missing something?

    Probably software error. MD never works right. 

    Just keep adjusting/selecting codes until you get the result you want.

    The more I know the more I don’t know.
