Number of California Individual 2021 estimates? 4 or 3? Lacerte generates 3. FTB seems to indicate 4?

There are four quarterly estimate due dates, but CA FTB for some weird reason wants them paid in 3: 30%/40%/30%, skipping the Q3 estimate.

So software might generate a blank Q3 stub.

It's annoying bc a few clients (who have been doing estimates for YEARS) always panic in September that I forgot to give them their CA Q3 stub.  Smh.
