nonresident alien spouse

NR return.

have error ref #3225 that spouse name/social is incomplete.

have marked box that spouse is nonresident alien with no social security number or itin but the error will not go away

Are you filing a 1040NR or a MFS 1040?  Either way, if you have checked the box that spouse is an NRA without SSN/ITIN, it shouldn't trigger any CD, especially since details of NRA spouse are no longer required.

What is the setup of the return?
