My client received Form 1444 in May, 2020 stating she would receive a impact payment of $472.40. She never received it. Is there a way to add that amount into her LaCerte Form 1040 for the 2020 tax return?
The taxpayer made too much money in the 2020 tax year to receive this stimulus payment, but qualified with her 2019 tax return numbers. I am trying to see if I can override the program and show the $472.40 on Line 30 of the 2020 Form 1040, but the statement says she doesn't qualify since the 2020 numbers are too high.
But her Form 1444 dated May 22, 2020 states she is entitled to $472.40, which must be based on her 2019 return. I haven't filed this 2020 return yet.
