MFJ proforma to be split to filing single in California

Hi, all,

California TPs filed MFJ in 2023 and divorced in 2024.

TPs will split 2024 pre-divorce income and deductions equally and report their own post-divorce income and deductions on their single filing status returns.

Will Lacerte MFJ to MFS tool allow me to change filing status to single after split (with no impact on the division of income and deductions)?

    I don't know but it will only take a few minutes to try it and find out.
