so we can't generate early cash flow

Someone wrote this about the CA delays in a different thread, and it deserves to be highlighted.  Cash flow is a real problem for some of us.

I just signed up for a Drake trial.

Drake is probably worth the money if you deal with a lot of basic returns.  It is my understanding that if you deal with clients with multiple states, you are one small step above just using a fill in pdf form.

Thank you.

Next year I could buy drake and file all my simple CA returns by February 4, 2027, and collect my billings on time, then switch to LC for the complex returns.

Yes I agree.  I currently have 8 returns that I have completed and cannot give to my clients because the California Form 540 is not approved yet.  I wish that I could print them off so that I can present them to my clients and be paid for my services.  I was able to complete 3 tax returns for clients in Arizona, Oregan and Nevada.  Cash flow is definitely a problem this time of the year.
