Lacerte has a 32MB maximum pdf attachment limit. Can a 'zip file' be used as a workaround to that limitation?

pdf files can be either (a) rescanned at a lower resolution or (b) have the file reduced.
My point of view is to get it to IRS. I really don't care if they can read it because it is done at 100 DPI.
