Lacerte '16 - '19 want new passwords despite updated

The programs have been web installed to latest versions and the computer rebooted.  Lacerte years '20-'22 have no problem booting up with the current password.  Any solution to this?  Thanks in advance as always!

Just change your password. The older versions require a password change more frequently than the current version does.

That's your answer? Just change your password? We have a million passwords to remember as it is, but what's one more change...is that what you are saying? Your programmers can't figure it out? As much as this program costs and we just have to deal with it when you can fix it with an update? WOW. So are they always going to be off from now on? That means we just follow the old rules so why make the newer versions different if we have to follow the older versions rules?
