Individuals MFJ vs MFS and Live with Spouse

In lacerte you may do a comparison of MFJ vs MFS.  Then below that box there is a box for Live with spouse?  Clicking this box, the amounts change on MFS, why would this make the figures different than if you didn't check the box?  Thank You in advance

Some tax provisions apply differently to MFS depending on whether you live with your spouse or not. So answer  it correctly.
