If your federal partnership return gets excepted but the state e-file rejects, do we need to extend the state return if we elect to mail so close to March 15th deadline?

a) Can the state return be fixed so it will go thru efile?

b) With all this worry, file an extension and relax.

If you can't correct the error, you have ten days to get the return paper filed from the time of the rejection.  Attach the rejection notice to the paper filed return.  Or, just do the extension.  Then go sit down someplace and relax for awhile, it sounds like you could use a break today.

Isnt a timely postmark sufficient on a paper filed return?

Best to send by certified mail.
