Question

I need to file an estate tax return for Washington State, however i cannot find the state in the setup. I do not need to file a federal estate tax return?

Lacerte does very few state estate tax returns. I'm not familiar with Washington estate tax returns, but for MD you have to attach a pro forma 706. I do the 706 in Lacerte, then get the MD estate tax form on the web. Fortunately, there is not a lot to the MD one.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
