I checked the box to force form 8582 yet the form won't generate. the taxpayer's income exceeds 150k yet the software is recognizing the net rental loss

      Most of the time it is PITC.

        Or mark the rental as "delete next year" to indicate that it has been disposed of in a 'fully taxable transaction'?
