I apportionment

I am preparing a 2019 corporate tax return with sales and salaries from NY and DC . How do I enter the information in order to get proper allocation?

Two choices:

On sales and salaries input fields, use Ctrl +E and enter the NY amount on one line and DC amount on another line.

Enter in  the apportionment screen.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
