Question

I am not able to open my client file. It says that someone is working on it. What do I do?

First question: are there any other users? If you need to check: Lacerte>"Tools" menu>"message other users" will show you if anyone else is currently logged in.  I don't find that feature to message them particularly reliable, so message them however you internally communicate.

Second, are you hosted on Right Networks or not? If hosted, exit Lacerte, double-click "Log off" and that will clear the cache and restart your remote computer. Go back in and see if that fixes it.

Beyond that, you'd likely have to call Support unless anyone else on here has other ideas of things to try.
