I have tried to install 2023 Lacerte tax programme on my desktop, however there is a "Runtime error 217" error pop up during the installation process. Eventually I manage to install the programme but unable to open the programme as the "Runtime error 217" is popping up again and restricted me from opening the Lacerte tax programme. It works fine for my 2023 Lacerte tax planner. Can anyone help to answer what is the issue that causes the "Runtime error 217" for the Lacerte tax programme? Any solution to solve the issue?

I am also having the same issue when I try to install 2024 Lacert tax program. When I go in to the "Lacerte Tool Hub", I only see 2023 on the option B in the hub.

Can anyone help to answer what is the issue that causes the "Runtime error 217" for the Lacerte tax programme 2024? Any solution to solve the issue?

Run 2024 Lacerte WebSetup (Press windows key and  start typing to find it)

That should do it. If not you will need to do a FORCE install https://accountants.intuit.com/support/en-us/help-article/install-products/perform-force-install-lacerte/L9H7lFi8L_US_en_US?uid=m3p9lsuj$srcG4T

EDITED to add Restart your computer first to see if that fixes it.
