How do I report the gain from a prior CA 1031 Exchange. Client live in another state.
I have a client in South Carolina. They did a prior 1031 Exchange on some California properties and filed a CA 3840. They have now sold the property. How do I report the prior deferred gain to California? The gain is different (and less) than the total gain. I'm not seeing any inputs and am planning to report the sale on the depreciation schedule.
