how do I remove the California used tax from an individual tax return?

I assume you mean 'use' tax 😂

 

Screen 54 > left side, second one down is California Use Tax.  Click on that, then on the box *Estimated use tax table.  "1" = no tax owed

(Screen 54 - code 7 if you speak batch)
